PTE

PTE stands for Pearson Test of English. It is a computer-based English language proficiency test designed to assess the English language skills of non-native English speakers who are seeking to study, work, or migrate to English-speaking countries.

The PTE Academic test evaluates candidates’ abilities in the following areas:

1. Speaking and Writing: Candidates are required to speak into a microphone to record their responses to questions and prompts. They also write essays and responses to written prompts.
2. Reading: Candidates read passages and answer questions to demonstrate their comprehension skills.
3. Listening: Candidates listen to audio recordings of conversations, lectures, and speeches, and then answer questions based on what they heard.

PTE Academic scores are reported on a scale from 10 to 90, with each section scored separately. Similar to other English proficiency tests like IELTS and TOEFL, different institutions and organizations may have their own score requirements for admission or employment purposes.
